I am PhD Student of Molecular Parasitology at Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium.

On this home page, I'll introduce myself about the objective of my research on Leishmania donovani which cause the dreaded infection in Nepal as well as the Indian sub-continent, and my research is to develop a molecular marker that detect the Drug resistance characteristics in Parasite.

Emergence of drug resistance in Leishmania donovani with Miltefosine is extremly dangerous for patient as it leads to failure of Leishmaniasis in Indian sub-continent. My objective is to explore the suitable molecular marker that can detect drug resistance in parasite and measure the risk for treatment efficiency of current first line drug therapy.
